Tom Delay
A tape was shown on the evening news of the ringleader of that bunch of thieves and murderers known as Congress as he castigated the judges who denied the attempts to reinsert the feeding tube of Terry Schaivo with doing nothing more than executing a concerted effort to attack the "Conservative Movement".
You ought to get down on your knees and beg the public, beg Terry Schiavo's parents for forgiveness for somehow trying to spin such a tragedy into a political advantage. Their is no agenda on behalf of the judges accept to interpret law, and to imply that there is a liberal conspiracy is nothing short of ridiculous. While it is indeed a tragedy for the parents and family of Terry Schaivo, the fifteen or more appeals by the parents weren't decided by so-called liberal judges who conspired to attack the Republican Party. Most people are sympathetic towards Terry Schaivo, however, polls show an overwhelming public dismay with congress for their intervention, more than 80% according to an CNBC poll. Oh, and let's not forget that most of the judges involved with the case are conservative appointees. This all rehashes memories of Newt Gingrich's ill-fated "Contract With America" which also was just another ruse to undermine the will of the public. It also calls to mind reckless statements such as the woman Conservative activist I saw on television recently who described Clint Eastwood's film "Million Dollar Baby" as simply a liberal Hollywood propaganda film to promote euthanasia. Clint Eastwood liberal?
What happened here was that Ms. Schaivo's fate was decided by the courts because she didn't have a Living Will. Congressman Delay is like Nero who watched as Rome burned, sensing it would galvanize political power. He used this situation to further a "movement" that only exists in the media and is given life by a gang of propaganda professionals. He tried to use this as an issue to further erode individual freedom and to provide the gang of thieves an excuse to pass more laws to rubber stamp our consciousness. What's at issue isn't a political movement, but the freedom of the individual to question and analyze for himself his own moralality.
