Pentagon Chief Robert Gates - A Shill for the Corrupt War Machine
Pentagon chief Robert Gates is serving as the public shill for the latest thievery of public funds by the big business war machine. And accordingly, the message is fear. Military shutdowns and layoffs are suddenly imminent because of the congress' shoving match with King George, who, like the priest who grates on his parishioners by constantly asking for more money, is at congress' door for his monthly "request" for additional funds.
Of course, this is simply more of the same bullshit this gang has fed the public since it has usurped power. Since then, with the original lie that the Iraq excursion would cost American tax payers under 100 billion, the total cost stands at somewhere around 1 trillion dollars with an end not in sight. The total cost to each American taxpayer is in the tens of thousands of dollars. Is there anyone whose jaw didn't drop when such a ridiculously low estimate was made in the first place? Anyone ith common sense that is?
Remember Al Gore stammering in a 2000 political debate "watch out America, they are about to pull the wool over your eyes?" He knew what was about to happen to America. He knew that what was at stake was an outright thievery of the public coffers and the usurpation of big business culture with a complacent news entertainment industry acting as its shill.
650 billion per year is the current spending budget for the Pentagon. While the so-called candidates for office travel the country giving silly staged discussions called political debates the public is hampered by an exploitative news entertainment industry that masquerades as a public information source, assisting the powerful in assuring the country is divided unless the big business war machine decides they have the resources to stage a war in order fatten the income statements of its big corporate welfare clients at the hands of the American tax payer. Of course, then the news entertainment industry acts as a propagandist, stirring up hatred among the people toward another nation or race.
Ironically, this corrupt administration has so bankrupted the American economy with its outright thievery and deception that America hasn't the resources to stage another phony war after the Iraq conflict has ended. Unfortunately for we the people, the big business machine and their stooge King George has determined this and they are milking the public for all its worth.
CNN's Jack Cafferty says he wants to hear from the how the war will end, what are you going to do, no Ralph Cramden, give us specifics. He wants answers on the energy problem. Where is a 5-10 year energy program that would get us out of that part of the world at least to a greatly reduced extent and give our military a break?
The next President will be the one that that the big business war machine and its pentagon cronies can most easily control. Capitalism is not now, nor will it ever be for free markets that allow everyone to prosper. Instead, it seeks to dominate markets, and bring into servitude the multitude at the hands of a few. In America, free market capitalism means any big business is free to capitalize the assets of any and all competition. The ghost of John Rockefeller is present in every board room meeting across the country, and his Pinkerton guards shadow the private security operative in Iraq.
Hillary Clinton received all sorts of fire for planting an audience member to ask her a question during a town hall meeting, but she was simply the one who was caught. None of the other corporate candidates are at this stage of the game because of their clean tactics and above average moral constitutionality. The fairest question to them would be "what are you going to do to stop the political war machine's power over America? What resources do you have in order to clean up a corrupt pentagon? Do you know how much power and self fortitude that will take and are you prepared to take up that fight to the bitter end?
