Nations of the World: Free Gillian Gibbons Now!
I owe Britons everywhere a most sincere and humble apology. In an earlier editorial I mentioned that Americans were indeed ready for a woman President, and that they have been for two generations. I pointed to the British as an example and stated that they weren't any more civil than anyone else and it shows that American's, too, have been ready for a lady President.
Then came the news of the Islamic extremist reaction in the Sudan toward a British teacher who not only has been imprisoned for allowing children to name a Teddy Bear, but their are thousands of those whom the rest of us have heretofore acknowledged as human beings calling for her execution.
This appalling situation calls into question why the world will never have the peace it so desperately hopes for. As long as civilized people around the world feel they must count these lousy bastards as human beings there can be no acceptable compromise for peace.
What is most frightening about this is that these protests are egged on by a chickenshit cleric named Abdul-Jalil Nazeer al-Karouri. He is representative of the hate mongering weasels that Muslims in the Middle East choose to listen to during Friday "prayers".
Among the stupid, hateful things this pathetic idiot has said regarding the British teacher is:
"This is an arrogant woman who came to our country, cashing her salary in dollars, teaching our children hatred of our Prophet Muhammad."
This woman could have stayed at home and made far more money than the puny salary she is drawing in the Sudan. Her life has been given to the service of educating children, and she deserves better than to be made a pawn in a foolish, idiotic stoneage philosophy that seeks to maintain control over people. She allowed the children to name a Teddy Bear, for Chrisake. That is her offense. All the foolish nonsense talk about insulting the "Prophet Muhammad" is something that the American and British government have really been at war with the past 6 years.
Weekly, the people of the Middle East go to "Prayers" to hear these vengeful, stupid, coward clerics spouting their disease of hatred and mistrust. And what is perhaps the most telling about this situation is the silence from the leaders of the other nations in the Middle East. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would gain a multitude of respect from civilized people around the world, not just America, by denouncing this sort of idiocy and demanding the Sudanese government release this woman at once. How about the leaders of Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Oman and the other nations of the Maghreb? Where are their voices in all of this? Why should the nations of the world care about Palestinians as long as they don't speak out against this type of behavior and crack down on these egregious, cowardly "religious" leaders and their followers?
If Islam is to survive as a religion it cannot be allowed to survive in this form. This is at heart the real war in the middle east. Is the war about oil? It is becoming more apparent every day that it most certainly is not. War would be unnecessary if it weren't for this type of extremism that seems to be the brand of Islam in the Middle East. People such as this cannot be reasoned with. No American President would be able to negotiate with them. Their very nature provokes war. They are the propagaters of death. They alone are responsible for the presence of other races in the Middle East which, again, shows their racial bigotry and sheer hatred toward all civilized people everywhere when they only allow others into there country to serve them.
When we read of the Prophet Muhammad, if we don't allow ourselves to be blindly swayed by the hate filled stupidity of these Middle East clerics, we can appreciate his life and what he meant to his people. But it is our choice whether we extoll him or not. To me he was nothing more than a camel thief who had an elaborate imagination. And certainly was no prophet of a just god if his followers are carrying axes to the British embassy to call for the execution of a woman who allowed her students to name a teddy bear.
I hope the same radical bastards that think they are justified in acting in this subhuman way read and take great offense at my words. Because maybe they will then at least begin to feel the indignation civilized people everywhere feel towards them, the false Prophets they follow and their idiotic cleric bitches.
A Holy War is inevitable for those who are obsessed with it. It makes no matter if you are Muslim, Jew, Christian or Hindu. If your life is dedicated toward provoking violence and confrontation, and then when others defend themselves against you, you claim justification in the name of your particular idea of god, you are only serving your own ideas and among others you have no honor because you do not share a basic respect for human differences.
